How long does the photoshoot process take?
For most shoots, we recommend calling the studio at least 2-3 months in advance for your desired session date, but we’re occasionally able to take last minute sessions if our schedule allows it! For Maternity and Newborn sessions, give us a call when your in your second trimester to make sure we are able to set time aside for time-sensitive shoots.
After you book, we’ll schedule your pre-session consult for about a week before your session. After your session, we will then contact you in 1-2 weeks to schedule your in- studio premiere reveal & ordering session. Post order placement, product fulfillment time depends on the type of product ordered.
Do you shoot weddings?
I do not specialize in weddings but I will take a few each year. I am a photographer who likes to be patient and get the right shots. If you think we would be a great fit, my wedding packages start at $5,000. I also take many engagement sessions and I LOVE them!
What time is best for Maternity portraits?
We recommend that you have your session scheduled between 32-36 weeks.
What is the best time for newborn portraits?
The absolute best time to capture sleepy, curly newborn portraits is 5-10 days.
What is the best time for baby portraits?
6-9 months is a great time to capture that in-between newborn and first birthday session. Babies are sitting, smiling and ready to show off those personality skills they got from YOU!
What is the best time for Senior portraits?
We love shooting Seniors outdoors, so we recommend Spring and Fall for sessions! We also travel!
Do you have mini sessions?
Yes, we run an exclusive number of mini sessions a year. Mother’s day and Holiday sessions are all exclusive mini sessions in our studio. These times and dates are announced on our FB page. Make sure you keep a close eye out. These sessions can become booked within days.
What should I wear/how do I prepare?
When you schedule a session with Dolci, you’ll also schedule a pre-session consult to take place at the studio or over the phone. This is included in your session fee. During the consultation, we’ll go over ideas for your shoot, best wardrobe to compliment that particular shoot, and what to bring with you to prepare for the shoot.
Do you offer gift certificates?
YES! We offer in any amount. Gift certificates are the perfect gift for anyone who has already booked a session. Contact me to arrange for a Gift certificate. We also offer a baby registry as well!
Can you come to our house?
Yes. Any session can be an on-location session at your house for an extra fee.
Are portraits better in the studio?
It depends! Outdoor shoots can be much more candid, while indoor can be more formal. I do not like to do much posing at all, especially with children. I love to capture as much personality as possible. Senior sessions, family sessions and engagements are always outdoors.

Crystal is a certified newborn photographer and invests yearly in education to offer nothing but the best for her clients. Do you offer digital CD’s or USB’s?
YES. We offer USB packages and we do offer digital downloads. Priced at $85 per photo, you can purchase a digital photo and make as many reproductions of it as you would like. Why so much? Digital images are given so you can make reproductions of and not purchase from the photographer. They are a bit more of an investment because you are paying not only for the unlimited amount of reproductions but for a beautiful piece of art you get to cherish for a lifetime. A digital print has more value to it. There are digital packages to choose from though, if you’re looking to purchase more than one, that will bring that price down. If you’re not making a bunch of reproductions, then digital is not the way to go. We have a variety of Fine Art prints and products to choose from as well as albums and collections.
